Concrete is a unique and intricate material made primarily from coarse and fine aggregate bonded together using an oily liquid cement that hardens through the process of thermolysis. These ingredients can be mixed using an assortment of methods based on the type of structure, where the substance is to be used and the objective of the structure.

Aggregates are the coarse, substance that is added to give strength to the concrete and to decrease the amount of time for cooling. Aggregates are also called gravels, stones or crushed stones. When aggregates are blended with cement and water, the ratio of these ingredients determine the properties of the concrete.

A combination of aggregate and cement will form the basic material for the construction of a structure. This type of substance is called the most important ingredient in the preparation of this concrete.
